"Took a strength and conditioning class with Brie online. She incorporates different disciplines and approaches to a highly integrated formula which stresses both working hard and proper recovery. Simple and effective. This will benefit anyone regardless of the amount of training experience or movement disciplines you come from"
-Richard Huang PT, DPT, CSCS “During these difficult times I have decided to focus on my well being and bringing my body back to homeostasis. The joint mobility presented in this program allows me to gear my body towards more explosive and high intensity movement. My shoulders have some kinks that needed to be tended too! Brie gave me such insight on stacking the shoulder to prevent impact. I’ll be flying in no time! In these times of isolation and solitude, it is of great consolation to have access to tools to keep my body fit while giving my joints space to expand. The practices that have been shown create more awareness of my mobility and more connection to its mechanisms. Understanding proper alignment! That’s what I am after during this Quarantine!”
- Jesada 'JLa Roc' Fuentes, Breakdancer, Reiki Healer, and Group Fitness Instructor “Since starting training with Brie 6 months ago, I have developed a much stronger core, helping me keep up with my busy 3yr old and lug around my oversized (now) 11 mo old.. Before Brie, I was having pain in my arms, knee and lower back. I felt weak and was really having a hard time physically. Weekly sessions with Brie keeps me in check and mindful of my body! I pay attention to my breathing, my posture and how I move throughout the day. This helps keep me strong and pain free.. The best part of working with Brie however is her patience and tolerance of the kids. It is so lovely to have an Instructor who works the kids into the workout sessions and is flexible enough to change things based in the kid’s temperaments.” –Lenci B. Mother of 3 year old and 11 month old.
"I have worked with Brie for more than 6 months. Brie is hands down the best personal trainer I have ever worked with. She is skilled, thoughtful and pleasure to talk to. When we started to work together, my goal was to improve my overall conditioning for fitness but we were able to achieve much more after just a few sessions. I am really impressed by Brie’s knowledge about clubbells and it is way more challenging than it looks. The circular strength training designed is a balanced combination between strength and flexibility which is often overlooked by many others. But most importantly, her enthusiasm keeps me inspired so that I want to push myself a little bit further to reach my goal."

"I felt great after the class! I did something different that I have never done, yet had a great workout . I see this class benefiting my MMA with flexibility, which will lead to better strikes and better movement overall. This class will help me recover from the pounding of heavy bag and BJJ classes during the week.”
-Xavier, Personal Trainer and MMA Athlete. "I've been taking both virtual group classes with Brie, and I can really notice the difference. As a bgirl, she understands the muscles we need to use and stretch in order to prevent injury in breaking. It's made me more conscious of really engaging the proper muscles when I dance. I've been dancing for over ten years, and after a while getting lazy in my movement, and not engaging the proper muscles, and sometimes having pain or injury because of it. Once I took Brie's class, I paid more attention when bgirling and doing footwork, and not only has it helped keep me injury and pain free, but it has helped build my mobility and speed. In addition I feel stronger and lighter. Brie is the best coach for bgirls and bboys!" - Erin "Goody Roc" Goodwin, Dancer
"I highly recommend Brie as a Clubbell trainer. Her enthusiasm and energy helped me want to power through the workout- as well as giving me reminders to breathe. She tailored the workout to areas I want to strengthen as a dancer and gave me tips on specific stretches afterwards. Besides being very knowledgeable about body mechanics and the ways Clubbell use helps strengthen while preventing injury, she is also very personable and sweet. Thank you Brie, I appreciate it!"
-Sasha, Clubbell Athletics Student and Breakdancer "Step by step Coach Brie introduced me the most important technical fundamentals of clubbell training. It was awesome! Brie is a great coach and lovely person. I would like to thank her for the opportunity to learn more about clubbell. After this class I realized again the versatility of this tool, and how it can help in the development of the flexibility, articular mobility, circular strength and, for sure, in the maintenance of a healthy body."
-Deison Finardi Willian, Kettlebell Trainer Brazil "Brie is a wonderful dancer and teacher. I am a teacher trainer and examiner with the NDCA and I have seen so many styles and teachers come and go. A few years ago a friend asked if she could invite Brie to perform in one of my showcases. I was so impressed we have invited her back to every single one! I eventually opened my own studio and am proud to promote Brie's classes and events.
I sprained my knee last spring, along with, lifetime injuries this created a real problem for me. I have been slowly adding activities to get my self confidently moving again. Brie agreed to personally train me and she is successfully using clubbell yoga and Pilates techniques to get me moving. I am challenged and progressing without any re-injury as she is always conscious of where my limitations are and how we can move forward keeping those in mind. I would recommend Brie to everyone for personal fitness, dance technique, and just plain having a good time!" -Mary Simler Evans, Owner of Bellingham Dance Company and Certified Grand Master of Dance, Personal Training Client "Brie's clubbell yoga class was a birthday treat to myself! It was both relaxing and challenging and helped my scattered brain get centered. It was new to me, so the repetitive structure that adds on challenges little by little moved at a pace that my mind could sink into without getting complacent. It eventually allowed me to focus on my form and breathing rather than just learning the sequence. I was continually pushing my body's limits but in manageable increments. But don't get me wrong, I was sweating well and breathing hard at certain points-- a challenging and safe way to build the body and then calm the muscles and heart rate. It's funny how a little 3 pound clubbell can seem intimidating at first, but there were modifications for different levels of strength. Turns out the clubbell doesn't bite and actually was good to me..
Brie's teaching style is comforting and easy to follow. She carries a positive and welcoming presence and gives very clear instructions. She both demonstrates and gives individual assistance. As a fellow dancer and friend outside of the yoga studio, I see that Brie is excited about how this practice has helped her as a dancer. She is genuinely dedicated to helping others achieve their health and physical goals through it. I recommend Brie's clubbell yoga class for dancers and non-dancers alike!" -Sara Ahn, Founder/Teaching Artist/Choreographer The Healing Movement |
I threw my back out carrying my enormous toddler about six months ago and knew I needed to do something to build my core strength. I met Brie around this time and she said she could help me with my strength and mobility and most importantly that she could do sessions at my home after my son was asleep which has been amazing since my husband works nights. She is so good at what she does. She is a great listener and tailors each session to where my body is and how it is feeling and what is working and what is not. I am not a particularly driven fitness person but she pushes me just the right amount to keep me growing but not so overwhelmed I want to stop. I haven't had an ounce of trouble with my back since we started working together and she has also helped increase my hip mobility that has been not great since a surgery 4 years ago. And I just generally feel stronger and more balanced and able to keep up with my son. She has room to add a couple more clients right now and I highly recommend her! -Kara, Mother of 3.5 year old
"I recently took my first Clubbell Yoga class in Brooklyn taught by Brie Helmuth. I truly enjoyed the workout and look forward to doing it again soon! I am not experienced in yoga of any kind so the entire lesson was new to me, but Brie ensured that everything was taught at a level that even I could understand… and accomplish!! Brie is such a warm person and a wonderful instructor. She has such Passion for movement and is a very knowledgable and supportive teacher. Clubbell Yoga was a challenge for me but Brie presented the technique in a manner that was not overwhelming or scary. I felt capable and picked it up pretty quickly! Brie kept us moving at a really good pace and when she felt that something was beyond what I could handle, she offered modified moves or suggestions on how to move through what I didn't think I could… and it was really satisfying and rewarding to be able to keep up with her and the class. Brie made that possible! :-) It was a really unique workout and a fun experience, and I am definitely looking forward to taking more Clubbell Yoga classes in NYC with Brie Helmuth!"
-Wendy Horwitz , NYC Resident "Working with Brie was a fantastic experience. I had wanted to take Hip Hop lessons for quite a while and a series of life events motivated me to take the step. Brie immediately made me feel comfortable and confident in what we were learning. She is a phenomenal motivator and instructor and took time to explain the subtle nuances of the dance and its history. I would highly recommend Brie if you are considering dance instruction. Great experience."
